She's
got a gift
Erica
Mintz is beating her own sales targets with homespun industry
PAUL DELEAN The Gazette
Erica
Mintz wants to have it all. And at 25, she's well on her way. Less
than two years after starting Unique Corporate Gifts in her parents'
home, Mintz is directing an enterprise with annual sales of more
than $500,000.
She's
gone from one employee - herself - to three, along with two sales
representatives working on commission.
"I
know I can take this business to $5-to-$10 million (a year),"
she said in an interview at the corporate office on De La Savanne
Rd.
"But
I'm faced with a dilemma. I'm married six months, and I'd like to
be a mother in a few years. So I may not be as aggressive as I could
be in growing it, because I want to keep it manageable. I usually
go for everything, but I want to be a good mother. That's my priority.
Family will be first, business second. But a close second."
